Open Broadcast Software
Around the beginning and end of class there are times where students would ask “What should I be working on?” This question prompted a desperate need for a solution. This solution was solved by utilizing OBS (Open Broadcast Software) to act as a facilitator/organizer.
OBS Studio is a free, open-source, and cross-platform screencasting and streaming app. The first part of the OBS setup is meant to be student driven. A student is picked to do a task. The picked student is listed on screen for the class to see. That student fills out a google form which will dynamically pull and populate the corresponding fields in OBS for the class to see and “DO NOW”.
